How many shutters are placed in my window?
Plantation shutters are customarily hung in sets of two. Traditional windows that are standard sizes have two shutters that run the full length of the window. Pictured here are three windows with a divider rail built into each shutter. The divider rail separates the shutter into a top rack of louvers and a bottom rack of louvers. This allows you to control your light and privacy by closing the bottom louvers and leaving the top louvers open.
What if my window is not standard?
We will determine the number of shutters required to cover your window. The narrow casement window pictured here required only one shutter, whereas the wider windows require three or four shutters.
Can shutters be made to fit an arched window?
There are two options for arched windows. If the window and the arch are separated by a piece of wood, a sunburst is made and installed above the shutters.
(photo below: Shutters with Sunbursts). If there is no separation between the arch and window, a set of arched shutters can be used
(photo right: Continuous Arch Shutter).

Can you install shutters on doors?
Yes, framed shutters can be mounted on French, Atrium and Sliding glass doors.

Will my shutters be mounted on the inside of my window?
We can use framed shutters for tilt windows or an inside mount for tilt windows. Our new process/technique can accommodate your tilt windows and allow them to tilt around the shutters.

Inside mount shutters are now available.
