> Plantation Shutters

Plantation shutters are ideal for opening up a room by allowing generous proportions of light to flow through. The shutters are available with 1 3/4", 2 1/2", 3 1/2", or 4 1/2" louvers. The larger the louver, the greater the spacing between each louver, allowing for greater view and increased lighting through the window.

1) Panel thickness: 1 1/16"
2) Side rails: 1 3/4"
3) Divider rail: (optional) block of wood designed to line up with a window sash. This allows you to close the bottom louvers for privacy and leave the top louvers open to let light in.
4) Tilt arm: vertical wand used to control louvers.
5) Rabbited edge: overlapping edge where the shutters meet for a secure fit.
6) Panels are screwed and doweled for maximum durability.
7) Tension springs: smooth tilt and superior tension using plastic on wood for a smooth action.
8) Bump strip: light stop; also holds magnet for panels to "catch" against.
8) Hidden tilt arm is available on plantation shutters. Provides a non-obstructive view through window

Improvements have been made over the last several years to provide a higher quality product. Being the manufacturer, we are continuously looking and making upgrades.
